🌅 Now this is worth getting out of bed early for!

Just look at that incredible sunrise over the Peak District. Those beautiful colours spreading across the sky as the countryside slowly wakes up are something else!

There's something really special about being out in the Peaks first thing in the morning, before the roads get busy and while everything is still lovely and peaceful.

Moments like this are one of the many reasons we love living in this beautiful part of the country. ❤️

If you're staying with us at Lose Hill Lodge, we'd definitely recommend setting your alarm a little earlier one morning and heading out to catch the sunrise.

You might be tempted to stay tucked up in bed, but views like this make the early start completely worthwhile!

🍂 A country lane looking absolutely beautiful in its autumn colours!

There's something so lovely about the little country lanes in the Peak District at this time of year. The trees turning golden, leaves scattered across the road and those gorgeous countryside views around every corner.

It's scenes like this that remind us why the Peak District is such a wonderful place to visit, especially during autumn.

And when you're staying with us at Lose Hill Lodge, there's no shortage of beautiful places to explore nearby. From quiet country lanes and woodland walks to pretty villages and breathtaking viewpoints, there's so much to discover. 🍁

A fantastic local pub just a 5-minute stroll from Lose Hill Lodge. Perfect for cozying up by the open fire with some great food and a drink or two! 🔥🍷🍺. Very dog friendly too 🐕🤎.

If these walls could talk, we reckon they'd have a few stories to tell…

Standing proudly in the heart of Hope, The Old Hall has been part of village life for over 300 years, with records of the building operating as an inn dating back to the early 1700s.

Through changing seasons, changing times and countless pints, it's remained a place for people to come together.

There's something rather special about an old village pub. The familiar faces, the conversations that last longer than intended, the warmth of the fire and the feeling that some things are best left just as they are.

And as the evenings draw in over the Hope Valley, we can't think of many places we'd rather be.

Here's to old buildings, good company and plenty more stories yet to be told. 🍻

🐦 Patience is certainly a virtue when you're a heron!

Just look at this beautiful heron keeping a very close eye on the water, waiting for its next meal to come along.

They're fascinating birds to watch, standing almost completely still for ages before suddenly making their move!

One of the things we love most about the Peak District is the wonderful wildlife you can spot when you're out exploring. Sometimes all you need to do is find a quiet spot, sit for a while and see what appears. 🌿

When staying with us at Lose Hill Lodge, make sure you take some time to enjoy the quieter side of the countryside. There's so much wildlife to discover if you keep your eyes peeled!

🍁 Now that's a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the autumn colours!

Just look at those gorgeous bright red leaves hanging over this pub bench. The Peak District really does put on a beautiful display at this time of year!

We love finding little spots like this when we're out exploring. Somewhere to stop for a few minutes, enjoy a coffee from the flask and take in the scenery.

Autumn is such a wonderful time to visit Lose Hill Lodge, with colourful woodland walks, peaceful countryside and plenty of lovely places to discover nearby. 🍂

🎨 Looking like he's posing for an oil painting!

Just look at this handsome pheasant! With those beautiful colours, gorgeous markings and rather proud stance, he looks like he belongs in a painting hanging above a country pub fireplace!

We love spotting wildlife like this around the Peak District. Sometimes they're so busy strutting about that they seem more than happy to pose for a photograph! 🪶

There's always something lovely to see when you're out exploring the countryside around Lose Hill Lodge, whether it's the local wildlife, rolling hills or beautiful little villages.

A countryside break is the perfect opportunity to slow down and appreciate moments like these.

🌫️ Can you guess the Peak District village/town hiding beneath this blanket of mist?

We absolutely love mornings like this in the Peaks, when the mist settles over the valleys and the villages below slowly begin to appear.

It's such a beautiful sight, especially at this time of year with all the lovely autumn colours appearing across the countryside. 🍂

We're lucky to have so many wonderful views and picturesque villages to explore around Lose Hill Lodge.

Autumn really does suit the Peak District! 🍂

There’s something lovely about heading down a quiet country lane surrounded by golden leaves and all those beautiful autumn colours.

When you stay at Lose Hill Lodge, make sure you leave plenty of time to simply get out and explore. Some of the best views are found when you’re wandering along the lanes and footpaths with no particular rush to be anywhere!
