Autumn at Tehidy is glorious. The wood carving is found in Tehidy Country Park. See if you can find it on a stroll through the woods.

Autumn has properly arrived and it's brought plenty of lovely cooking apples. We've been leaving a trug outside reception full of apples for people to help themselves to.
This morning I did have to empty some water out of the trug after Storm Austens visit in the early hours. I guess I could have left it like that and had an apple bobbing competition. 😃
Lots of leaves to pick up and sticks but no harm done fortunately.

Last year we lost a lovely tree in the storms so we've set out to make up for that. We've planted several native trees and have spent the last few weeks clearing the ground behind the camping pitches and wigwams. Richie is in the video spreading wild flower seeds. We can't wait to see how they come up next year. It should be stunning.
Our whole philosophy revolves around Tehidy Holiday Park is part of the wonderful surroundings it sits in. We are always looking for ways to make it as natural as possible. Better for nature and better for our guests.

The long range Met. Office October forecast for Cornwall is looking great. With lots of sunshine and dry weather. The seas lovely and there are some great activities coming up. Here's a few that are a bit unusual but fun.
We're hosting the dancers and musicians for the Lowender Celtic Festival which is set in Redruth from Thurs 15 – Sun 18 Oct. Lowender is Kernewek for ‘celebration.
On Sat 25 Oct, Jubilee Pool in Penzance is holding a full moon swim, giving you the chance to take a twilight dip in the iconic Art Deco lido as the moon comes up over Mount’s Bay.
Falmouth Book Festival from Sun 18 – Sun 25 Oct, with an impressive line-up of writers, thinkers and performers and events taking place around the town with authors including Ruby Wax, Michael Morpurgo, Maria Alyokhina of P***y Riot, Charlie Higson, Luke Harding, Patrick Gale and Esther Freud are among the major names heading to Falmouth.

Lovely day on the Camel trail from Padstow to Bodmin. Beautiful cycle route on very good track with coffee shops and cafes along the way. There's plenty of bike hire places in Padstow, Wadebribge and Bodmin so you can choose the part you do easily. Wadebridge to Padstow is riding by the open estuary and upriver follows the River Camel to Bodmin. We timed it perfectly to see the Bodmin to Wenford steam train pulling off too. Magical.

Great news for our guests. Chilling out and slowing down in Cornwall just got faster. Full Fiber broadband has arrived at Tehidy so our WiFi is now 12 times more powerful than it has been to now. Being connected while you relax is easier and still free.

As ever a coffee and cake at Trelissick Gardens is a lovely treat after a wonderful walk along the estuary in the ancient oak woodlands. Lovely warm September weather.

With a low Spring tide the beach between Chapel Porth and Porthtowan is open all the way. It's a wonderful stroll between these two gorgeous coves. September is here but we are still enjoying 21 to 23 Centigrade temperatures and the sea is lovely. Happy September with Tehidy Holiday Park
