We are nestled on the north shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, with breathtaking views of Skiddaw

Based in the English Lake District, very close to the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake, Herdwick Croft offers a stunning lodge, caravan and touring park with views over the North Lakeland fells. The caravan park is only 8 miles from the market town of Keswick on Derwentwater, and 5 miles from Cockermouth, the birthplace of Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (author of Mutiny on the Bounty). The picturesque Lakeland village of Bassenthwaite is only 2 miles away. Bassenthwaite Lake is ideal for those interested in watersports, Bassenthwaite Sailing Club is only one mile away where you can hire or launch a sailing dinghy, and the lake is excellent for windsurfing and canoeing or just relax on the lake shore enjoying the sun or a picnic. The wild life park is within walking distance just set behind the park .
