we are a small friendly campsite open all year round set in a walkers paradise just off the A7 in the Scottish borders.

This sunday 1st November one of Langholms highlights of the year. You can follow the pipe band from the town hall at 6pm to the kilgreen where the bonfire will be lit, shortly after you can watch a fantatsic firework display at 7pm.

🎄 With Christmas just around the corner, it's the perfect chance to pick up some lovely gifts, enjoy delicious local produce and support our wonderful traders!

Two things we always get asked by our visitors is how long have you been here and how did it all start.

Well it all started with an idea in a pub (as so many ideas do 😂) in cleckheaton where we used to live back in 2022, after searching we finally viewed what we thought was the perfect place to have a campsite.

In 2022 and 2023 we opened up as a 28 day a year pop up site.

After many many bumps in the road from simple things like getting water to the site, to lengthly planning applications and flood testing to prove we won't flood we finally opened as an official campsite in January 2024.

There is still work to be done and more ideas that we have with both the site and the animals but here is a small video of some.of what 2022 looked like from the very first viewing of the site.

Whats even better is National Geographic has named Dumfries and Galloway as one of its 25 Best of the World destinations for 2027 – the only destination in the UK to make the list.

Our site is located just 10 minutes from Langholm, 25 minutes from the English border, 30 minutes from Gretna Green and 45 minutes from Carlisle. With the Meikledale walk starting here, it’s an ideal base for exploring.

A chilly start to the day but still beautiful views.

We are open all year for all you winter travellers, but if you dont fancy camping during the winter months we also have our 2 bedroom static to hire either direct threw us or you can book threw air bnb 😊
