🛁 Some things are worth taking your time over… 🩵

There’s something rather lovely about a proper roll-top bath.

The white claw-foot bath, the green ceiling, the chequerboard floor. A bathroom with a bit of personality, where even an ordinary soak feels like a little treat.

Not every part of a getaway needs to be about getting out and doing something. Sometimes, a little time to yourself is exactly what you came for.

And we think a bath like this is a rather good place to start.

🍂 A little autumn escape to Leek 🩵

A slow and gentle start, good coffee, a wander around the independent shops, and that feeling of having nowhere in particular you need to be.

Perhaps a long walk in the Peak District, a cosy pub lunch, or a drive through the Staffordshire Moorlands or a stroll theough Brough Park with the autumn colours putting on a show.

Then back to Stonesthrow Townhouse, kicking off your walking boots and settling into your own characterful little townhouse in the heart of Leek.

With great places to eat, beautiful countryside close by and a town full of independent spirit, it's a lovely time of year to explore somewhere new.

Whether it's a couple of nights away, a foodie weekend or a catch-up with friends, sometimes a change of scene is just what you need.

🍂 November in Leek & the Peaks 🩵

There’s something rather lovely about the Staffordshire Moorlands in November.

The mornings turn crisp, the countryside takes on those beautiful autumn colours, and the pace of life seems to slow just enough to enjoy it all.

🥾 Wrap up warm for a walk across the Roaches, wander beside the water at Tittesworth Reservoir, or explore the woodland paths around the Churnet Valley.

☕ Head back into Leek for a warming coffee, a mooch around the independent shops and a long lunch somewhere cosy. Our historic market town has plenty of character, whatever the weather.

🍰 Take the scenic route, discover a village you’ve never visited, find a new favourite farm shop or simply spend an afternoon enjoying the views.

And when the light fades early? That's your cue to put the kettle on, open something delicious and settle in for a slower evening.
