Family run Self Catering Cottages on the West Coast of Scotland Ederline Estate is a working farm nestled in the hills, a short drive to the coast.

Ideally situated to explore the Islands and this stunning area of Argyll. The self-catering cottages are well equipped to create 'Home from Home'with log burners and WiFi. We provide bike, boat, paddle-board, kayak hire and fishing on numerous hill lochs for residents only. Many places locally to visit and our guests are hard pressed to fit it all into one week.

Autumn is in full swing 🍁

Each day, a few more leaves fall from the trees, assisted by storm Boelo, the woodland floors are covered in all shades of amber.
Now the wind has calmed, pull on your wellies, wrap up warm and go for that walk 🌿

The Northern Lights are happening tomorrow! 🌌✨

Tomorrow night, October 19, 2026, the Northern Lights are expected to be visible across the night sky due to fast solar winds from a coronal hole.

⏰ Best viewing: 10 PM to 4 AM
📍 Where to look: Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland), Scotland, Iceland, and parts of the northern United States

For the best view, find a spot away from city lights, give your eyes 20–30 minutes to adjust, and enjoy!

Things to do at Ederline 🌿

There’s so much to do on the estate, from swimming in the loch, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding or rowing across the water, woodland walks, spotting wildlife and exploring everything our little corner of Argyll has to offer. These are just a few to name the least!

Whether you’re here for a weekend or a little longer, there’s plenty to fill your day, or absolutely nothing to do at all, if that’s more your thing 🛀
