One little bonus of closing for the season…

Linda finally gets time to go on some of the walks we spend all summer recommending to everyone else. 😂🥾

When you’re busy looking after guests, beds, hot tubs and everything else that comes with running Into The Wild, it’s surprisingly easy not to explore what’s right on your doorstep.

So the walking boots are back out and we’ll be sharing a few of our favourite local spots over the quieter months. 🌿

It’s a very different Into The Wild once the season ends. 🌿

No bags by the door.
No morning coffees.
No one deciding whether it’s too early to get in the hot tub. 😂

Just the tents, quiet and empty, waiting for spring to roll around again.

There’s something quite lovely about seeing the site like this for a little while.

And that’s the tents down for another year. 🌿

It always feels a bit strange seeing them disappear after a whole season of guests coming and going.

One minute they’re all cosy and ready for someone’s weekend away… the next they’re a very large pile of canvas on the decking. 😂

There’s always plenty to do once we close, but packing the tents away safely is the job that really makes the season feel officially over.

Now for the winter jobs…

Sometimes you don’t need a big holiday.

You just need a couple of nights somewhere quiet, a comfortable bed, a hot tub and absolutely nobody asking anything of you. 🌿

Into The Wild is all about those little resets.

A chance to slow down, sleep well and come home feeling like you’ve actually had a break.

Honestly, we could all do with a bit more of that. ✨
