With views across the ever-changing Black Combe and the Duddon Valley, which is known as the jewel in the crown of Cumbria, Brockwood Lodges will delight walkers and bikers from leisurely coastal routes and bike-friendly forest tracks to more challenging single tracks and scenic uphill climbs, taking in Knott Hill, Black Combe, Whitfell, Caw and Great Stickle. Creative enthusiasts can visit the Craft Centre and view a range of crafts exhibits and for bird watchers, Hodbarrow Nature Reserve has an RSPB hide and estuary walks. If something a little more energetic is required, Haverigg Beach has lovely golden sands backed by dunes, great for windsurfing or take a stroll to the summit of Black Combe Hill to appreciate the wonderful country and sea views on offer.
