☀️ Camping in a heatwave? Preparation is key to keeping cool...
🌅 Open tent doors and vents early in the morning and late in the evening to create airflow.
☀️ Keep tent doors closed during the hottest part of the day to reduce direct sunlight inside.
🧊 Freeze water bottles before you leave and use them as mini cool packs in your cool box.
💦 A damp flannel or cooling towel around your neck can make a big difference.
🪑 Set up a gazebo, awning or tarp to create extra shade around your pitch.
🛏️ Use lightweight bedding and sleep on top of your sleeping bag rather than inside it.
👕 Change into fresh, lightweight clothing before bed.
🌳 Spend the hottest part of the day exploring local attractions, enjoying a pub lunch, or finding a shady spot rather than sitting inside the tent.
🚰 Drink water regularly throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🧊 Bring ice blocks and make use of our on-site freezer space
Even on the warmest days, evenings in the Hampshire countryside are perfect for sitting outside, cooking on the BBQ and watching the sun go down.
If you're looking for a summer escape, we still have selected camping pitches available.
