Our Story of Anran:

Set within rolling hills and stunning countryside you will find a grove of majestic grade 2 listed buildings and an adjacent dairy farm know by the locals as “Tidwell”. In April 2013 the farm was purchased from the church commission of England and a major renovation was undertaken to meticulously restore the property and to convert it to a private residence. In making this o

ur home and also a place from where we can work we have not only aspired to create luxurious accommodation and a variety of venue rental options but also moved our photographic and design studio on to the premises. We have also started farming again and are proud to say that we have a variety of animals and planted a whole host of fruits and vegetables that are already being harvested.

Veterans With Dogs Veterans and their dogs are always welcome at ANRÁN. It’s our privilege to give back to those who’ve given so much. 🐕🐕‍🦺🦮🐾

Last week, we welcomed six veterans and their assistance dogs at various stages of training to Michael Edwin, who kindly let us use their beautiful venue for our training in Devon (thank you ANRÁN!) During the week, they gained confidence in their partnerships, learned new techniques, and practiced mechanisms with their assistance dogs to manage their mental health.

Our residentials are a key component of our Partner Animal Life Skills (PALS) courses, guiding veterans and their assistance dogs through increasing stages of ability until they qualify as fully accredited assistance dog partnerships.

We are so proud of all our attendees, both two and four-legged!

Yesterday, the weather was simply perfect for a blessing by THE LAKE, a cocktail reception in THE COURTYARD, followed by a wedding breakfast in THE GLASS HOUSE so lush with greenery and bathed in glorious sunshine.

Everyone involved in the wedding, from setup and coordination to the catering team, wore a genuine smile throughout, and the guests were incredibly complimentary about every detail.

This weekend’s wedding began on Thursday when the couple arrived full of energy, setting the tone for a pre-celebration on Friday that kicked off a wedding weekend filled with colour, wonderful spirit and glorious sunshine.

Mike sent me this lovely image this morning captured in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 🇻🇳 and it stopped me in my tracks.

Such a beautiful, powerful moment. A gentle reminder of how we so often take life for granted, spending unnecessary time and energy on trivial matters while forgetting what is truly precious.

These incredible dogs, full of spirit and joy despite their challenges, are a reflection of resilience and grace. A prompt for all of us to pause and reflect on what we can and cannot take for granted.

We have been so blessed in our journey together through the years, and we believe deeply in giving back to good causes. Together with our wonderful team here at ANRÁN, we strive to bring positive energy to everyone celebrating a special occasion or enjoying their stay with us.

A heartfelt thank you to Jenny and the team at Sustainable Staverton & Dartington Parish Council for making our very first Open Day truly special.

The ANRÁN team worked hard to bring this special event to life and the weather rewarded us unexpected conditions.

The grounds were open and the kind words from our guests left us feeling deeply touched and grateful.

We are also delighted to share that all proceeds from the day will be donated to and 🐾🎗️ — because a truly good day should always give something back.
