Heads up that this year's fireworks display will be on Saturday 7th November.
Also, as dog-owners love that it's the first time using the quieter fireworks - sure the other local livestock, horses, pets and wild animals will too👍🙏❤️ all the best for a great event!

We've got extra help today and moved some things around, so anyone checking in today can check in early - any time after 1pm. We know it's grim out there, the fires are set so you can just put a match to it, the heating is on so everything is toasty, and we're waiting to welcome you. If you're travelling take it easy and take care x (we've dropped some messages but just in case you see this first ☺️)

Well, it might look a bit different tomorrow after the storms come through (it just started here within the last hour) but from yesterday - a lovely big dusting of snow hit by the light falling on the Cairngorms 💙❄️ as seen from Newtonmore golf course.

The light was so pretty falling inside, and the autumn colours and blue skies so crisp that I just had to do a wee walkaround The Byre today, (no time today for fancy filming or editing, just a quick post) 🧡
BTW, whilst we store away the big glass and wood table and summer furniture from the balcony, as they can't withstand our harsh winters, we always leave out a wee all-weather set so that you can still enjoy a seat in the sun all year round, or an autumn cuppa on the deck 😎🍁🍂
