We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Oban Brasserie. 👨‍🍳

This is an important role at Perle Oban, with the opportunity to shape the menus at Oban Brasserie, work with Scottish produce and lead and develop the kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, creative and confident leading from the front, but who also cares about building a positive kitchen culture and helping the people around them develop.

💼 Full-time, permanent
💷 £45,000 + performance bonus of up to 5%, plus tips & service charge

One for the weekend plans if you’re staying with us in Oban… 🪨🌊

The World Stone Skimming Championships return to Easdale Island this Saturday, 5 September, bringing competitors from around the world to one of Argyll’s more unusual sporting events.

Competitor places are now completely sold out, but the good news is that spectators are very welcome, and it’s free to go along and watch.

If you’re thinking of making the trip, take a look at their official 2026 schedule. It includes all the important travel information, including buses from Oban and timings for the day.

On the 27 August, the March of the Stewards will set off from right outside our hotel before making its way through town for the Oban Games.

This year we’re especially pleased to be involved, with Perle Oban sponsoring the 800m Handicap.
