We’re so pleased to be welcoming back The Orchard Cafe Quartet on Thursday 17th December for another very special evening at St Petroc’s Church in Lydford.

With the church lit entirely by candlelight, settle in and enjoy an evening of beautiful live music, from festive favourites to much-loved film classics, all in the wonderfully atmospheric surroundings of St Petroc’s, with dinner at the pub either before or after the concert.

It’s become one of our favourite evenings of the year and a lovely way to get together, slow down and enjoy a little Christmas magic.

BACK OPEN THIS AFTERNOON!!

Finally!! What has been a super stressful few days for everyone has been made so much easier by people’s understanding of a lot of cancellations and relocations, thank you!

Don’t forget about the pesky road closure at Lydford Gorge, if you’re coming out from Tavistock, head out via Mary Tavy.

We can’t wait to get the pub in full swing again, we’ll look forward to seeing you soon!

ROAD CLOSURE/DIVERT TO LYDFORD

Unfortunately the bridge at Lydford Gorge has taken a hefty whack over the weekend and the road from the Gorge up to us is now going to be closed for a month!

If you’re heading out to us from Tavistock please come the A386 Mary Tavy route. If you’ve already head out past Brentor Church from Tavistock and hit the road closed signs then divert through the village of Brentor to join up with the A386 in Mary Tavy. The official divert signs will take you all the way back through Tavistock which seems slightly unnecessary!

We’re open all day, everyday, and serving food throughout!

We’re slightly biased but we totally agree! We’ve got something for everyone!

It’s scorchio and you want to bask in the sun, we’ve got you, grab a table out on the lawn and catch some rays!

You’ve had enough of the raging heat but still want to look at sunny prettiness, book yourself into our stretch tent, best of both worlds and closer to our garden bar!

All of this, whilst overlooking our neighbour English Heritage Lydford Castle, cold local beverage in hand and award winning food flying out of the kitchen, what’s not to love!
