🌲👻 A BEAUTIFUL WALK BY DAY… BUT WOULD YOU DARE AFTER DARK?
From the Shepherds Hut or Peak View Cottage you can wander down through the fields and private woodland, following the Little Don Trail as it stretches above and alongside Stocksbridge Bypass. A lovely walk to the local pub The Mustard Pot and back…
But as the nights draw in, the woodland gets darker, the shadows get longer and the road below has a rather chilling reputation.
Since its construction in 1987, there have been reports of ghostly children, a hooded monk-like figure and unexplained encounters witnessed by police officers.
So, next time you’re heading down the trail for a pint, spare a thought for the stories attached to the road below…
Would you dare walk those fields and woods with just a torch for company on a dark November night? 🔦
Or would you be turning straight back choosing to relax in the hot tub instead 👀
