Just a little reminder that we are based on a working farm, so there are often chickens etc roaming around site. 🐔

Please take extra care when travelling on or off site, keep your speed down and dogs on leads at all times 🚜🐾

🔥 IMPORTANT FIRE SAFETY UPDATE 🔥

Following tonight’s Government Severe Alert regarding the very high risk of wildfires nationally, we wont be selling logs, kindling and fire pits at Gill Head Farm until we receive further guidance.

We ask all visitors to please help us keep everyone safe by not lighting fires, using disposable BBQs or fire pits during this period.

For cooking, please use gas cooking stoves only, and take extreme care when using gas cookers. Never leave cooking equipment unattended and ensure it is used safely and appropriately.

Thank you for helping us protect our farm, the surrounding countryside and everyone staying with us. 🤍🌿🔥

Please follow the latest Government guidance and stay safe.

Today we’ve been splitting the ewes and lambs into different groups, giving our ewes some well-earned time to recover after lambing, while also giving the lambs the best opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential as they continue to grow. 💚

You may notice the sheep are a little noisier than usual over the next few days. This is completely normal and is simply down to the change of field and the new surroundings and situation for them.

So if you hear a few extra baaaas around the farm, don’t be alarmed! 🐑They’re just getting used to their new routine🌾
