☀️ And just like that, what an unforgettable summer it has been at Roselands Caravan Park! 🌊 From Craig burning his baldy head to the wild fires in the moors, family weddings, meeting new faces and seeing the old ones again and terrific sunsets 🌅

🏕️As the kids head back to school this week and the peak season comes to a close, Mother Nature really treated us to an absolute scorcher of a summer, which made our little corner of the Land's End peninsula feel like paradise with those stunning, warm summer sunsets we are so lucky at receiving here on the park.

As if the gorgeous sunshine wasn't enough, we were also treated to an absolute spectacle in the skies! We had a front-row seats for the recent solar eclipse,

🔥 With the extreme hot weather and dry conditions this summer, Cornwall faced serious wildfire risks, including major incidents right nearby us - We want to extend a massive thank you to the fire service, local farmers who pulled together and to all our guests for being so cooperative, and supportive with our safety measures and BBQ restrictions. Thanks to you, we kept our beautiful park and the surrounding moorland safe and sound!

The seasons not quite done yet we are here till the end of October, then the winter work begins for us around the park 👀

🔥 IMPORTANT SAFETY UPDATE 🔥Due to the extreme fire risk in Cornwall right now, we are not allowing any BBQs on-site.
The ground is incredibly dry, and it only takes a single spark to cause a major incident, with the beautiful moorland adjacent to us!
The safety of our guests,and local wildlife is our absolute priority.🚫 NO disposable or charcoal BBQs or fire pits !
GRAB A PASTY INSTEAD 😉

🚨🙏 In light of the good weather forecast and a hosepipe ban across Cornwall, we're asking our residents and visitors to be extra vigilant:

✅ Pack a picnic or better still, grab a pasty from your local baker!

SUNSET ECLIPSE AT ROSELANDS!

We are in for an absolute treat here on the Land's End peninsula! On Wednesday, 12th August 2026, the UK will experience its most dramatic solar eclipse in decades—and Cornwall is one of the absolute best places to witness it.Because we are located right on the western coast, we will get to see a massive 95.7% partial eclipse just as the sun is setting over the sea!

Here are the exact timings you need to know for our local area (Penzance/St Just):6:18 PM – First Contact: The moon will slowly begin to bite into the sun.7:16 PM – ECLIPSE MAXIMUM: The sun will form a stunning, dramatic crescent low in the western sky.8:10 PM – The eclipse ends just before sunset.

💡 Top Tips : Protect Your Eyes: Never look directly at the sun. Make sure you pack certified solar eclipse glasses or use an indirect projector method.
Find a Clear View: Because the sun will be low on the horizon, head up to a high point on the site or take a quick 10-minute drive down to the cliffs near Sennen Cove or Gwynver Beach for an unobstructed view out west!

Please help reduce the risk of wildfires.

Most wildfires in the UK are started by human activity, so small actions can make a big difference.

✅ Avoid lighting barbecues or campfires in dry areas, take a picnic instead
✅ If you smoke, dispose of ci******es responsibly
✅ If you spot signs of a wildfire, move to a safe location and call 999 immediately

Wildfire smoke can also affect people’s health, especially those with asthma, heart or lung conditions, older people, young children and pregnant women, so it’s important to help prevent fires before they start.
