The castle farm camping site is set within the beautiful and historic village of Fotheringhay. Primarily this is a magnificent place to relax.

The village has a rich history, including the birth of Richard III, and the beheading of Mary Queen of Scots. In the shadow of Fotheringhay Castle ruins, this idyllic, picturesque and historic site is the perfect destination for a short break. The site consists of 5 caravan pitches, a campsite available for small and large groups & boat moorings, all a short walk from the welcoming village of Fotheringhay. The River Nene provides excellent opportunities for fishing, canoeing or even a swim if you’re brave enough.

We had another lovely September weekend on the campsite, with a few campers making the most of the last few weeks of the season.

The evenings are definitely getting cooler, but there’s still plenty of sunshine to enjoy during the day - and next weekend is looking lovely again! 🌤️

We’re open all week, but a reminder that we close for the season on 30th September.

So if you fancy one last September escape, now’s the time to book and make the most of the late-summer sunshine. 🌿🏕️

Just two weekends left to make the most of September sunshine and the camping season at Castle Farm.☀️

The days might be getting shorter and the nights are drawing in, but the forecast is looking good for the next couple of weekends.

And with cooler evenings comes the perfect excuse to gather around a campfire 🔥 We have fire pits available to hire, plus plenty of firewood for sale.

🌧️ It’s been a Bank Holiday weekend for the hardier campers!

Plenty of much-needed rain for the farm - perhaps a little less welcome for those under canvas!

The good news? We’re open every day throughout September and still have availability, including some remaining dates in our private Riverside camping area.

September is a great time to camp - quieter, cooler and with plenty of good days still to come. We close for the season at the end of September, so make the most of the last month and book your late-season getaway! ⛺️🌿
