An autumn classic, Mill style 🍽

Creamy, earthy and full of flavour… our Wild Mushroom Risotto is exactly the kind of dish that hits the spot as the evenings start to turn a little cooler.

Finished with mixed herbs, parmesan and truffle oil, it’s rich, comforting and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat ✨

Perfect with a glass of wine or a cold pint, served up with a little bit of of Mill time. 🍷🍺

PERTHSHIRE: OFF THE BEATEN TRACK 📍 Glen Lyon

Some places are worth taking the long way round for.

Tucked away in one of Perthshire’s wildest corners, Glen Lyon is often described as one of Scotland’s most beautiful glens, and it’s easy to see why.

Follow the single-track road deep into the glen and you’ll find the old Packhorse Bridge, known locally as the Roman Bridge. Despite the nickname, it actually dates from the 1600s or 1700s and sits in a landscape of rushing water, woodland and mountains that feels a very long way from everyday life. Glen Lyon itself stretches for around 32 miles and forms part of the Loch Rannoch and Glen Lyon National Scenic Area.

It’s exactly the kind of place we love recommending when guests ask, “Where should we go that’s a little less obvious?”

Pack the walking boots, take your time on the road and make a day of it.

Then head back to Pitlochry for a pint, something good to eat and a bit of Mill time. 🍻

Worth the detour? Absolutely.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Testimonial Tuesday

Great food, a relaxed atmosphere and service with a smile - we’ll happily take that! 🙌

A lovely new review landed on Tripadvisor this month, and it pretty much sums up what we want a visit to the Mill to feel like.

Whether you’re joining us for lunch, dinner, drinks, a night of live music or staying over for a few days in Pitlochry, thank you to everyone who chooses to spend a little Mill time with us. 💛

And an extra thank you to those who take a few minutes afterwards to leave us a review - it really does mean a lot to the whole team.

🌧️ Grey skies were made for slow Sundays, hearty food and a little time at The Mill…

Come in from the rain and settle down with one of our Sunday roasts, served with all the trimmings from 12 noon until they’re gone. Or keep things lighter with plenty more favourites on the menu 🍽️

Good food, friendly faces and a cosy table waiting for you - with something from the bar to complete the picture, of course 😉

🍓 Cocktail of the week: Strawberry Mojito

A fresh Mill twist on a Cuban classic, mixing Bacardi with strawberry purée, mint, lime juice and sugar syrup, finished with a splash of soda.

Fruity, refreshing and made for sipping in the beer garden. Who’s joining us for one? 🌿🍹

Clear the diary - it’s Mill time 🍻🔥

Friday starts with great food and a few drinks before local favourites GINHAUS bring the acoustic tunes from 9.30pm.

Saturday has live football with Celtic v St Mirren at 8pm, then The Suburbs cranking up the rock and pop favourites from 9.30pm. Food is served from 12 noon–9pm, so settle in and make a day of it.

Sunday calls for a proper roast from 12 noon - on until they’re gone - followed by Everton vs Man U at 2pm, then Arsenal v Chelsea at 4.30pm on the big screen.

Good food. Cold pints. Live tunes. Big-match atmosphere. That’s how we do weekends at The Mill.

Every year, we call it. And today feels like that day. 🍂

Steak pie weather has arrived… autumn, is that you? 👀

Our Old Mill take on a classic: golden puff pastry lid, tender beef, rich gravy, crisp skin on French fries and seasonal veg. Exactly the kind of comfort food those cooler days were made for.

Anyone else feeling the shift? 🍁
