Lettoch Cottages Three stunning self-catering cottages converted from an old farm steading nestled on a hillside in Highland Perthshire All in spectacular scenery.

The Cow Shed,Cow Shed 2 and Lettoch Beag are three self catering cottages perfect for two to four people. Steve & Kirsty, the owners of Lettoch Farm, have lovingly converted their farm steading into these three individual and unique holiday lets. All have wood burning stoves, enjoy fantastic views across the glen and are equipped and furnished to a very high standard. The Cow Shed opened in May 2013 and has had many returning guests. Cow Shed 2 was completed and ready for rent in July 2014 and has received glowing recommendations for its interior design and use of recycled and sustainable building materials. In August 2015 Lettoch Beag was opened , a slightly larger cottage able to sleep 4 people. You will likely be drawn to the panoramic views through the French windows that bring the surrounding hills to the west and south almost into the room itself. They all enjoy a fantastic location in the heart of Highland Perthshire, 5 miles from Pitlochry and 2 miles from Blair Atholl. Edinburgh, St Andrews, Fort William and Inverness are all within 1.5 hours drive, but there are an abundance of things to do and see in the local area too, including great hill walking and cycling (mountain & road), Blair Castle, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, golf and fishing on the door step. Our favourite aspect of living here – the walking – short walks, long walks, flat walks, mountain walks, woodland walks, moorland walks. Walks to suit everyone from our door step and within a few minutes’ drive.

Lettoch Cottages and The Highland Soap Company www.highlandsoaps.com

There are two things above all that matter to us, Kirsty & Steve, here at Lettoch Cottages www.lettochcottages.com.

The first is making sure you feel welcomed, valued and comfortable. Many of you return year after year, and we never take that loyalty for granted. We're always looking for ways to make your stay just that little bit more special.

The second is our impact on the natural world.

When we bought Lettoch in 2004, the property came with 17 acres of unproductive farmland, much of it heavily grazed by sheep and deer. Today, through our Rewilding Lettoch project www.rewildinglettoch.com, we're giving that land a chance to recover. Trees are regenerating naturally, habitats are recovering, and we're watching nature gradually reclaim its place.
That commitment to ecological recovery is something we try to weave into everything we do at Lettoch, including the choices we make for our cottages.

Which brings us to the reason for this post!

We’ve always used Ecover products for cleaning. But we've found something rather special for our guests.

We're introducing The Highland Soap Company's Wild Nettle & Heather range across all three cottages, with beautiful new shampoo, body wash, hand wash and body lotion.

So why the change?

~Quality. Premium toiletries that reflect the care and attention we put into making our cottages somewhere special to stay.

~Supporting a Highland business. An independent, family-owned Scottish company making its products in Fort William, supporting local employment and a shorter supply chain.

~Environmental values. An emphasis on natural and organic ingredients, responsible sourcing and packaging, and a commitment to sustainability.

~Less waste. We'll continue our existing practice of buying in bulk and refilling dispensers rather than relying on lots of little bottles.
Shared principles. Their approach to business feels closely aligned with our own commitment to caring for the natural environment through Rewilding Lettoch.

And, of course, there's something rather lovely about offering you products inspired by the very Highland landscape we’re surrounded by.

The Highland Soap Company also has a beautiful, well-stocked shop in Pitlochry, just four miles from us.

Thanks to The Highland Soap Co.® for adding us to their family of accommodation providers across Scotland.

Everyone that has stayed with us will be aware that we also have our own small scale rewilding project here at Lettoch. So most will know we’re into doing what we can for a sustainable planet.

Here’s a film released today in YouTube that were half way through and definitely think is worth a watch.

What if the solutions to building a better future already exist?H...
