The forecast is looking good for the rest of the week and we are making the most of it!

We’ll be open late all week, today through to Sunday, serving from 12pm until 8pm each day. Cold drinks, pizzas, milkshakes, ice creams, beers on tap, cocktail pitchers and more 🍻

If you’re out kayaking or paddleboarding along the estuary, cycling or walking the coast path or around Radford Lake, come and stop in for a bit of a refreshment. We even have dog ice cream for our four legged friends 🐾🍦

Rock n Roll is a bit different to your average shepherd hut stay.

Rather than one hut, you get two, each with their own sleeping space but sharing the same pitch. Double bed in one, bunks in the other, so the kids have their own space and the grown ups have theirs. Everyone together but not on top of each other.

Parents sat back with a coffee, kids off exploring the woodland paths and spotting whatever wildlife will stand still long enough. Then a walk along the coast path or a paddle down the estuary, a proper BBQ outside the huts as the sun goes down, and marshmallows on the fire pit before everyone heads in for the night.

That’s a pretty good few days.

We’re still running our introductory offer of 20% off for any bookings made directly through our website before the end of June using the code ‘ROCKNROLL’. Follow the link in our bio to check availability.

You asked, we listened..

After the success of our Christmas market and Easter market, we had a lot of people asking when the next one would be. So we’re making it a regular thing!

The first of our monthly markets is this Sunday, 28th June, 11am to 4pm. We’ll have food stalls from around the world, think pizza, Greek, Polish street food and gourmet burgers, including live music from 2pm.

**As always, we encourage people where possible to walk, cycle or paddle over to us as parking is very limited! Please ensure you use the parking spaces provided by the site and do not park in the residential areas!

Our favourite thing about Dynamite is that big window. It frames the whole quarry face, and it’s the first thing you see when you roll the blinds up in the morning.

Some mornings you don’t get much further than the decking. Coffee in hand, watching the wildlife move around the quarry, feeling a bit like the quarry manager must have done a hundred and fifty years ago.

Whatever the rest of the day holds, that’s a good way to start it.

No agenda. Just this.

Good food, fresh air and not much of a plan. The kind of break that actually feels like one.

What kind of glamper are you?

Some people want a cosy shepherd hut, tucked away in the trees with a wood burner going. Others want canvas overhead with the feeling of being that bit close to nature with the quarry all around you.

Here at Stones & Stars you don’t have to choose. Both options come with the same view of the quarry walls and the same quiet once the evening settles in.

There’s a lot more to this place than what you see now 🌿

Long before it became somewhere to stay, this was a working quarry. Stone was cut from the rock face and sent out along the river, used in buildings across Plymouth and further afield. At its busiest, it would have been loud, busy and full of movement.

Hard to picture when you’re standing here now with just birds overhead and the sound of the wind moving through the trees.

When the quarry closed in the 1970s, it was left behind and slowly, nature began to reclaim it.

What you see today is the result of that shift. It’s a very different place to what it once was.
