While the boys were busy laying the sedum roof, Tracy and Louise had the task of planting over 300 daffodil bulbs around The Bank.
Our guests next spring will be delighted by our hard work 😀

We've been busy laying a beautiful sedum roof at The Bank, creating a stunning natural finish that blends perfectly into its surroundings. 🌿✨
Not only does a sedum roof looks fantastic, but it also helps support biodiversity, provides a habitat for wildlife, and adds an extra touch of green to the landscape.🐝🌼
Another project taking shape, combining practicality with a natural eco-friendly finish. 💚

Thank you TPG DisableAids for coming to our assistance. We had a guest who needed a mobile hoist so that they could transfer to our rise and recline chair. TPG DisableAids are delivering and collecting one to The Bank for them.
They can hire out equipment like hoists, commodes etc for short term use, perfect for when you are going on holiday to make your stay that much easier 😊

We had the most wonderful stay at The Bank in June! We found it very accommodating and accessible for my partner, Jake, who is a wheelchair user. We particularly loved the kitchen which enabled him to cook me a romantic meal for the first time in years - something very unique! The rise and fall hob, the oven complete with extending shelf and roll under sink were particular highlights. There were other excellent facilities, such as a profiling bed, hoist system, ultra accessible shower and roll-in wardrobe which were excellently thought out.
The space was cosy and had clear attention to detail. A highlight was the stunning (And very large!) decking overlooking the lake, where we were fortunate enough to watch the wildlife over breakfast!
A perfectly accessible spot for a young couple, which didn't feel clinical or sterilised. We already can't wait to come back!!!

The changing places bed at The Bank is an important addition to the bathroom for guests who need assistance to shower. It is therefore an important date in the calendar to get it serviced and checked over to make sure it is fully functional for all our guests. Thanks to Astor Bannerman for carrying out this very important job 🙂

"The Bank is a great place and equipped to a high standard for our needs, but especially for our daughter who has cerebral palsy and cannot walk so is reliant on a wheelchair and other specialist equipment. The quality of the disabled equipment is the best we have ever had in any holiday home that we have ever stayed in during the last 36 years, and we think the price-point is about right for high-end accommodation of this type. We applaud you for going the extra mile (and expense!). The wrap-a-round decking is fantastic, and the view across the pond is brilliant. The beds, cooker, hob and furnishings etc are all top quality."
