What a brilliant weekend we have had this weekend.

Thank you to everyone for your custom & patience,it’s certainly been a busy one, well over a thousand pints sold over 3 days, hundreds of crisps and lots of food.

Even better we have generated £1948 for the VAT man over 3 days 🍾 😂

A big thank you to the folk at chippingsteamfair for putting on an amazing event for the village and an even bigger thank you to my hardworking staff who have kept the pumps flowing serving all you thirsty people.

We’re proud to be a family friendly pub and we genuinely love welcoming families through our doors. We always try to create a relaxed, warm environment where everyone can enjoy themselves whether that’s for a family meal, a quiet drink, or catching up with friends.
We completely understand that children get excited, make noise, and sometimes test boundaries.
We always try to be patient and understanding wherever possible. However, being family friendly doesn’t mean allowing behaviour that is unsafe, destructive, or disrespectful to the people and environment around them.
Pubs can be busy and potentially dangerous places for children if they are not being supervised properly.
There are glass bottles and glasses, hot plates and drinks being carried by staff, open fires, dogs, heavy furniture not designed to be climbed on, and customers moving around in tight spaces. Our staff work hard to keep everyone safe, but we cannot do that effectively if children are running around unsupervised or treating the pub like a playground.

We kindly ask that parents and responsible adults supervise their children and help them understand how to behave appropriately in a shared public space. It isn’t the responsibility of our team or other customers to control children’s behaviour.

We don’t want to come across as grumpy or full of rules that’s not who we are. We simply want to maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for everyone who visits us.
