We’re absolutely glowing after reading this lovely review from Stella, who found us on Google and joined us for a one‑night stay
Neither Stella nor her partner are vegan, yet they loved every bite — from the aubergine dip and “Jaffa cake” with orange sorbet to our Green Bear Wellington and homemade breakfast treats.

A new carrot method tonight and we’re keeping it.
We slow-cooked these huge carrots in vegan butter and their own stock, then glazed them with a sticky carrot reduction for a deep, sweet finish. Topped with GF breadcrumbs, smoked almonds and parsley.
Big flavour from a humble ingredient.

Our new starter has been on the menu a couple of times now, and it’s already becoming a favourite.
Celeriac, apple & butterbean soup with roasted celeriac fondant, burnt apple & black garlic purée, candied walnuts, apple caramel and pickled apple & celeriac.
Comforting, autumnal, and full of layered flavour. Lovely to see guests enjoying it.

We’ve been meaning to share this for a couple of weeks, but it’s been non‑stop here lately.
Paula, Jamie, Pam & Dave handed us this beautiful card as they were leaving — and they also brought a lovely one for Jasmine too.
Such thoughtful guests, and their kind words meant the world to us.
We’re already looking forward to welcoming them back.
