No one told the Hot Lips that we're nearly in November!

Autumn might be settling in slowly, but there's still plenty of colour around.

Looking for somewhere to soak up the autumn vibes?
From colourful woodland trails to peaceful spots to enjoy the changing season, there's nothing quite like crunchy leaves underfoot and a canopy of autumn colours. What's not to love about Pembrokeshire at this time of year?
Take a look at some nearby favourites!

Swallow Tree Woods - The woodland surrounding the park brings autumn colour right to our doorstep. It's a lovely bonus for guests staying with us and local residents who can reach us on foot. Please note there's no visitor parking.

Minwear Woods - Look out for the rich autumn colours of the beech and red oak trees, then follow the woodland trail to a viewpoint overlooking the Cleddau Estuary. Keep an eye out for woodland birds along the way, too.

Canaston Woods - These extensive woods have a long history, with paths crossing ancient woodland and sections of the historic Knight's Way, an old pilgrims' route through Pembrokeshire. If you fancy a longer wander, there are plenty of tracks to explore beneath the changing canopy.

Pleasant Valley, Wisemans Bridge - Follow the wooded valley alongside the stream and look out for the remains of Stepaside Ironworks. The old railway route also links the valley with the coast.

East Williamston Jubilee Park - A handy choice for a shorter nature walk, with a chance to enjoy the changing season. There's also a children's play area, making it a great option for those exploring with little ones.

Where's your favourite spot in Pembrokeshire to soak up that autumn feeling?

The Swallow Tree to Tenby coast path walk ☺️

A favourite amongst our family and team, a ritual for many of our regular guests and a “bloody shock” for many doing it for the first time! 😂

This walk is like squeezing the essence of the whole Pembrokeshire coast path into a single glorious 3 mile stretch. Spectacular vistas, industrial heritage, plenty of wildlife, peeks of idyllic coves… and uphill steps. So, so many uphill steps! And of course it ends in the wonderful Tenby, with an ice-cream or a cheeky drink to reward yourself for the effort made.

Rain or shine, this is a Swallow Tree stay bucket list item. It’s not easy and access isn’t possible for everyone, but for those who kit up and can venture out onto the path, it really does make up for the sweat and achy legs!

One of the perks of early morning pool maintenance…

Catching the sunrise over the sea through the patio doors. Not a bad way to start the day!

A beautiful tribute held on Saundersfoot beach this morning, remembering the 144 lives lost in the Aberfan disaster 60 years ago today.

❤️ Saundersfoot held a very moving remembrance on the main beach this morning.

The Chair of Love Saundersfoot Phil Baker said a few words to the assembled groups, residents, and visitors. Saundersfoots Côr y Môr performed a very moving Calon Lân and led the group in the Welsh National Anthem.

"On 21 October 1966,
144 people – 116 of them children – tragically lost their lives when a spoil tip slid down the mountain, engulfing Pantglas Primary School and some of the surrounding houses.

Many of us may have personal or family memories of that day.

As a 9 year old, I lived only six miles up the same Valley in Merthyr Tydfil.

My Granddad and Dad both left the Town Hall and went to help dig that day.

My Mum helped in the temporary mortuary set up in a local chapel.

None of them ever spoke much about those few days.

Aberfan is a similar size to Saundersfoot.

It is unbearable to think that 116 children went to school that morning but didn't come home."
