We are sad to report that the Best Ever Campsite Chicken died in her sleep last night. We think she probably decided that she wasn't really up for another cold winter, after such a great summer.
She was a cheeky girl, who was as happy inside our house as she was sharing your breakfast on the patio.
Thanks for naming her, (she had several!) and sharing Haw Wood Farm Caravans And Camping with her. What a legend. 🪽💕

It was fantastic to welcome so many of you to Haw Wood Farm to witness the Solar Eclipse.
With 100 pairs of glasses bought from Go Stargazing we were able to offer safe viewing as well as some delicious Chilli and Nachos.
Thanks to everyone who came and made such a memorable event.

On Wednesday, August 12th, the partial Solar Eclipse will be one of the most accessible astronomy events visible from the UK in 2026. During the eclipse, the Moon will cover up to 90% of the Sun, creating a dramatic sight for observers across the country.

Come and join us on the patio at Haw Wood Farm, where we are serving Chilli and Nachos from our cafe (5-6.30pm) and have 100 pairs of eclipse glasses for you to use! (from )
If you are visiting just for the eclipse, please park on the grass outside the gate and come through to the patio area and cafe.
The eclipse is due to begin at 18.17, peak at 19.12 and finish at 20.05.

We want to reassure all our guests that Haw Wood Farm is not directly affected by the ongoing fire on Dunwich Heath. The safety and comfort of our visitors remain our top priorities, and we are closely monitoring the situation alongside local authorities. Our site is operating as normal, and all facilities are fully open. We are implementing a temporary ban on fire pits and BBQ's and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding on this. We will keep you updated immediately if anything changes.

New for Summer 2026 is our Zen Zone.
Sometimes you need a few moments to yourself away from the bustle of the campsite.
We invite you to find a quiet space, take a few deep breaths, stretch out and listen to the sounds of nature in our wild area.
Then you will be ready to carry on with the rest of your day refreshed and revived.
The Picnic and Wild area is reserved for over 16's to borrow a yoga mat and take a moment of solitude and peace every day between 8am and 10am over the summer holiday.
You will find the yoga mats available to borrow in the shop at Haw Wood Farm.
