A little dose of Scarborough nostalgia... 🚋🌊

There’s something timeless about a ride on the Central Tramway Co. Opened in 1881, it has been carrying visitors between St Nicholas Cliff and South Bay for well over a century, becoming part of countless family holidays and seaside memories along the way.

Some attractions come and go, but this little journey remains one of Scarborough’s most cherished traditions.

Let’s hope the Spa Cliff Lift is repaired and running again soon too. It’s another piece of Scarborough’s heritage that deserves to be enjoyed for many years to come.

We usually share Scarborough under blue skies and sunshine. Today, not so much! 🌧️

A cold, wet and grey South Bay covered in seaweed after the winter tides. Not postcard weather, but beautiful in its own way on our first day off after the end of a busy season.

That's a wrap……

We rounded off Season 7 with a fantastic weekend welcoming a full house of guests for a three-night stay, finishing with our Season Closing Party last night. Twenty-seven guests joined us for great company, fresh pizzas and brilliant live music from the incredible Freddie Schmuck.🎸🍕

A huge thank you to everyone who has stayed with us this season, Season 8 begins at Easter, but before then we still have two festive events to look forward to.
