You don’t need to leave the holiday home to have a great family holiday! Here’s how to make the most of your stay at West Acre👉

Movie night in the cinema room and friendly competition on the pool table are always guest favourites🍿🎱

Make sure you take some time to relax and unwind from your day to day life, the private hot tub and sauna are great for this🫧

Most importantly, spend a weekend making memories with your favourite people

And if you do need to leave we are nice 30 minutes from the historic city of York🚘

We’ve learnt a lot since we opened West Acre and we have definitely made some mistakes along the way, here’s 5 big changes we have made since opening👇

We swapped the welcome pack for a freshly baked cake, a welcome gift that can be enjoyed by everyone🎂

We have moved towards multi-generational family breaks. We have found West Acre works best for these groups and we have added baby and dog packages to your stay👶🐶

We have added toiletries to all the bathrooms, no more arriving at West Acre and realising you’ve forgotten your body wash🚿

We have changed all our cleaning products to refillable eco friendly products to help with our environmental impact🍃

One of our biggest changes has been to allow same day changeovers. This change has really helped the business to grow over the last few years

West Acre is located in the lovely Yorkshire countryside village of Wistow

Loads of our guests leave telling us how they love the quiet village and we get great reviews for Sunday lunch at The Black Swan and local fish and chip shop🍺

Wistow is in the Selby district with loads of great attractions and we are only 30 minutes from York. If you need help planning your next trip let us know in the comments😀

Does West Acre pass your family holiday test?

After reopening after Covid we made the decision to focus on multi generational family groups at West Acre

Whilst it has been an overall success here’s 3 things we have learnt in that time

1. Welcome baskets just weren’t suitable and most of the group weren’t interested. We have now made the decision to get groups a freshly baked cake that everyone can enjoy

2. There needs to be something for everyone. The lead booker is under a lot of pressure so they need everything to be right

3. Guests do still appreciate great customer service. Some people might think our service is a bit over the top but it gets great feedback on most of our reviews
