What a lovely way to get into the festive spirit this December! A little carriage ride to enjoy some Christmas magic :-)

🐑 Lucifer has met his ladies! ❤️

Today we let Lucifer, our new Blue Texel tup, in with the ewes, and he certainly got a warm welcome! The girls immediately surrounded him, all keen to investigate the new man in their lives!

Lucifer took it all in his stride, remaining lovely and calm despite all the attention.

Fingers crossed for some lovely lambs next spring! 🐑

If you haven’t already, meet Bandit! 🐾

Our newest addition to the Field House Farm family!

He’s a fun-loving Working Cocker Spaniel, full of mischief, energy and, when he wants to be, rather cute!

I’m still trying to get a decent photo of him, but unfortunately sitting still isn’t one of his strong points! 🤣

So for now, a video will have to do! 🐾

Just your average evening stroll with Clover… and Lucifer the tup. 😂🐑🐾

That’s a new one!

Bless him, we walked Lucifer round on a halter earlier today while we swapped him for the ewes, who’ve now moved onto a field with plenty of grass to flush them ready for tupping season.

Lucifer, meanwhile, still has to wait a little longer before he’s allowed to join them… although judging by tonight, he seems quite happy being a dog instead. 😂

I’ve finally got round to posting this… meet Lucifer, our new Blue Texel tup 💙

He’s a Yorkshire lad from Holmfirth — right in Last of the Summer W**e country, with a rather lovely view over the valley!

He’s come from a lovely home, where the owner’s daughter brought him up and took him out showing, so he’s had a really great start.

We feel very privileged to have him here at Field House Farm and can’t wait to see what he produces.

Back in early August we sadly had to say goodbye to Axle, who had been part of life at Field House Farm for eight years.

He was quite a character and got me doing things I’d probably never have done otherwise — being dragged up countless mountains and even taking up canicross. Before Axle, the only running I really did was chasing sheep or horses! 😂

We also competed in Toss & Fetch (frisbee throwing for dogs), becoming UK Champion in 2020.

Some of you will remember seeing him racing up and down the paddock, and he was particularly useful for letting me know someone was at the office when I was down the yard! 😂

He certainly packed a lot into his eight years and gave us plenty of good memories. 🐾
