A little bit of luxury at Hay Vacay 🤍

It’s the little things that make a stay feel special…

A lovely hot shower after a day exploring, fluffy towels waiting for you, everything fresh, clean and ready for your arrival 🛁✨

We’ve tried to make the bathroom at Hay Vacay feel bright, simple and welcoming — just one more little corner to help you relax and enjoy your stay.

Because sometimes, it’s the simple things that make all the difference 🤍

✨ It’s the little touches that make your stay extra special at Hay Vacay 🤎

This weekend, Jo Mo baked some of her homemade treats for our guests — and they were these delicious chocolate chip muffins! 🧁🍫

Because sometimes it’s the little things waiting for you when you arrive that make a stay feel that bit more special. 🥰

We hope our guests enjoyed every bite! 🤎

Who needs an afternoon in the hammock? 💙

Just you, a little sunshine, the sound of the countryside and absolutely nowhere you need to be…

Our favourite kind of afternoon at Hay Vacay 🌳✨

Whether you’re escaping for a quiet weekend, enjoying a good book or simply taking a moment to do absolutely nothing — the hammock is waiting.

Come and slow down with us. 🥰

🍻 One of our favourite things about Hay Vacay…

We have the most wonderful pub, The Red Lion, Longden Common within easy walking distance from the farm. 🥰

So you can leave the car behind, head out for a lovely countryside walk, enjoy a delicious meal and a drink (or two! 😉), then wander back to Hay Vacay and snuggle up for the evening. 🌿🐴✨

It’s the perfect combination of country walks, good food, a cosy stay and absolutely no need to drive anywhere. ❤️

Just one of the little things that makes a stay at Hay Vacay so special.

📍 Shropshire countryside
🥾 Countryside walks from the door
🍽️ Wonderful pub within walking distance
🏡 Cosy horsebox accommodation

Could this be your next little escape? 💚

🚫 Things you WON’T find at Hay Vacay…

❌ Traffic jams
❌ Queues
❌ Alarm clocks
❌ Crowded swimming pools
❌ The sound of the neighbour’s lawnmower at 7am 😆

Instead, you’ll find…

🐴 Horses in the fields
🌿 Peace and quiet
🥾 Lovely walks around the farm
☕ A cuppa and nowhere you need to be
🛏️ A cosy little horsebox that’s had a whole new lease of life

Sometimes you just need to escape for a couple of nights. 🤎

So… what would you add to the “won’t find at Hay Vacay” list? 😂

🐴 MEET THE HORSE THAT STARTED IT ALL… 🤎

This is Eric.

When Eric hung up his horseshoes, his old horsebox suddenly needed a new job… and that’s when the idea to convert it was born. 🌾

We decided to give Eric’s old horsebox a completely new lease of life and turn it into somewhere people could come and stay, right here on our family farm.

Eric was the inspiration behind it all — so it only seemed right that he should still have a little part in it.

His picture is proudly displayed inside the box, so every guest who stays gets to meet the horse who started the story. 🐴❤️

And that’s how Hay Vacay began…

One much-loved horsebox, one very special horse and a new chapter for both. 🤎🌾

🌾 WELCOME TO HAY VACAY 🌾

What started as a late night conversation turned into something we never quite expected… ❤️

This is our converted horsebox, tucked away on our family farm in Shropshire. 🐴✨

In 2020 we decided to take on the challenge of converting our old horse boxes into somewhere people could come and stay.

What started as a project quickly became a labour of love — and before we knew it, we were ready to welcome our first guests.

Since then, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome so many lovely people, all coming to enjoy a little escape in the countryside and a taste of life here on the farm. 🚜.

So… welcome to Hay Vacay — a little horsebox, on our family farm, with a big story. ❤️
