From the moment you’re first welcomed with complimentary home-made cake by Rachel and Gerry, the on-site owners, Burlton Cottages offer idyllic, unspoilt escapism - a perfect rural retreat. Open all year (arrive and leave on dates of your choice), bring the kids (cots, high chair and games available) and bring the dog (enjoy stunning country walks right from your door, with abundant wildlife every step of the way).

We know that planning a holiday can take extra thought when you have accessibility requirements.

That’s why we’ve been working on making the process clearer, easier and more reassuring from the moment you book. ❤️

Our accessibility information is now provided at the time of booking, so guests can see exactly what equipment is available, discuss their requirements with us and reserve what they need in advance.

We also have swimming pool and mobile hoists available, alongside our accessible accommodation and other accessibility features.

Our aim is simple:

Bring less equipment. Have less to worry about. Enjoy your holiday more. 🌿😊

🔥 Behind the scenes at Burlton…

Not every investment we make is something our guests immediately notice — but some of the most important ones are about making sure everyone who stays with us feels safe and reassured. ❤️

Recently we invested across our cottages and facilities to meet the latest fire safety requirements for self-catering accommodation.

This included upgraded door locks, additional fire safety information and enhanced fire alarm checks and monitoring.

It might not be the most glamorous investment we’ve made, but it’s one of the most important. 👌

Because providing a great holiday isn’t just about beautiful surroundings and lovely facilities — it’s also about keeping our guests safe. 🏡💚

🌿 What a wonderful evening at The Farmer Rural Awards 2026! 🌿

Last night we attended the Shropshire awards celebrating our fantastic rural community, and we are absolutely delighted to share that, for the second year running, Burlton Cottages has won Rural Accommodation of the Year! 🏆

We were genuinely shocked to win for a second year in a row, and feel incredibly proud and grateful to have received this award again. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, stayed with us and helped make Burlton Cottages what it is today. ❤️

It’s also been a busy couple of weeks for us, as we’ve recently been judged as finalists for the West Midlands Tourism Awards. We’re keeping everything crossed and looking forward to attending the awards dinner next spring! 🤞✨

Thank you again for all your continued support. We feel very lucky to do what we do and to be part of such a wonderful rural community.

Mary can provide caring, personalised support in the comfort of your holiday cottage, helping your dog feel relaxed in a familiar environment.

Such a special end to the weekend. Thank you for everyone who came along to a new experience here in the Spa. Due to its success we are hosting another floating sound bath on 20th December.
If any groups or retreats would like to include a floating sound bath whilst you stay here, just let me know. It truly was very relaxing.

Rodriguez Events often cater in The Studio for our groups who book all the properties under Exclusively Burlton. These guests had a wonderful time and kindly wrote the following to me...

"We knew it was going to be a great weekend. We’d read about all the cottages, the swimming pool and the hot tub but we were not really prepared for how perfect it was for our family.
It was so good to be together, but also with our own spaces to return to. The studio was a revelation - a great place to meet and eat; the children loved it for the entertainment, and they loved the pool - we all did.
The cottages were designed and fitted to a very high standard. They felt very luxurious and i personally had a very relaxed and stress free weekend.
Thank you both for your unobtrusive presence, and for providing all the information we needed. We loved Burlton cottages. Thank you."
