bs scattered with wild meadow flowers which not only encourage wild life, but section areas of the site making it a private site, with private areas. There is a dedicated 0.5 mile dog walk. Fishing is also available on site with day or reduced priced week tickets. Lincolnshire is an agricultural area, a flat county known as ‘The land of the big skies’ where sunsets have to be experienced to be believed. For those who enjoy relaxing by water there is a carp lake, with ducks and dragonflies. The family have hens whose antics are most amusing at feeding time. The Lawns lend themselves ideally to a relaxing game of Boules/Petanque or Croquet or for the more energetic- Badminton. The site is a short stroll to a couple of local tea rooms, farm shop, pub restaurant, garden centres’ and many other things. More adventurous campers may wish to explore the local area on cycle with the Wash within easy reach with its many aspects of wild life and bird population. Local amenities are varied and diverse, with Long Sutton being where Dick Turpin, the renowned Highwayman, was arrested for horse rustling. Within a few minutes of easy walking of the site are popular Chinese Restaurant and Public Houses with Restaurants, so that those seeking off site hostelries are well catered for. Under 10 miles (20 minutes ride) away are 3 local bustling market towns. Kings Lynn and Wisbech both famed for splendid Georgian period properties used as settings in films and dramas, each have their own charm and character. Guided walks are available. Wisbech is home to the Rose Fair which takes place from End of June-1st week in July. If you fancy a bit of retail therapy Spalding is about a 10 minute ride away and hosts the Springfield Shopping Outlet and Gardens where shops are plentiful you can also catch the Water Taxis and take a ride into the centre of the town. Spalding also hosts the Annual World renowned Flower Parade in May. History is all around this area and the National Trust having properties to visit in Wisbech and Kings Lynn amongst others. Museums are plentiful along with well established children’s activity centres. If you have a motor home and prefer to use public transport the local bus stop is only a 10 minute stroll from the site, or the Call Connect Service can be booked for collection from the front gate. The site owners have a comprehensive list and leaflets for campers within a ‘what’s on book’. They can tell you about farmers markets, market days, and other local and Annual Events. Peterborough a little further away has a magnificent Cathedral with the Tomb of Catherine of Aragon and a fine selection of shopping centres. Sandringham the Norfolk retreat of Her Majesty The Queen and Hunstanton Old Fashioned Seaside Resort are only 40 minutes away. Private individuals most welcome
