📸 Behind the Scenes at Harford Bridge – Meet Vanessa!

Meet Vanessa – the person who helps keep everything adding up behind the scenes at Harford Bridge Park.

With 40 years of experience in financial and office management, Vanessa looks after our bookkeeping and is always finding smarter ways to do things. From streamlining processes to connecting systems, she helps keep the back office running smoothly. She’s a vital part of the park’s financial central nervous system! 📊

But there’s much more to Vanessa than numbers!

Away from the desk, she’s a keen beekeeper 🐝 and Cornish gig rower 🚣. She’s been married to Allan for 43 years and is a proud mum to twin daughters and grandmother to two grandchildren.

And then there are Ollie and Gus – her two lovable but rather naughty dogs! 🐾 Between a German Wirehaired Pointer and an English Springer Spaniel, we suspect there’s never a dull moment in Vanessa’s household! 🐶

You might not always see Vanessa around the park, but her hard work helps make everything tick.

Thank you, Vanessa, for everything you do! 👏

🐾 We love hearing about our guests’ four-legged family members. What breed is your dog, and are they an angel or a little mischief-maker like Ollie and Gus? 😂

🚐 **A Warm Welcome to the Swift Motorhomes Owners Club!** 🚐

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Swift Motorhomes Owners Club to Harford Bridge Park for their autumn rally.

It was wonderful to see the club's motorhomes lined up on their individual pitches, surrounded by our green open spaces and the beautiful West Devon countryside.

With the historic market town of Tavistock just a short distance away and the stunning landscapes of Dartmoor on our doorstep, there's plenty to discover when staying at Harford Bridge.

A big thank you to the rally organisers and everyone who joined us. We hope you enjoyed your time here and look forward to welcoming you back again!

🎡 Tavistock Goose Fair is next Wednesday!🎡

On Wednesday 14th October,Tavistock comes alive with fairground rides, stalls and plenty of atmosphere! 🎠✨

From our little corner of the Tavy Valley, we’re lucky to have Tavistock just a couple of miles from Harford Bridge Park, making Goose Fair an easy trip if you’re staying with us. 🌿

If you’re heading into town, make sure you plan ahead as parking will be limited and there will be road closures.

🍔 What a season it’s been for Peckish!

From opening the shutters for the first time to becoming a firm favourite with our guests, Peckish has had a fantastic season here at Harford Bridge.

Our regular service has now finished for 2026, but we’re not quite done yet… Peckish will be back with a special spooky offering for Halloween! 🎃👻

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the season. Whether it was an easy evening meal after a day exploring Dartmoor, a treat for the family, or simply a night off from cooking, every order has helped make Peckish such a successful part of life at Harford Bridge.

And we’re already looking ahead to 2027.

We’ve learned plenty this year, we’ve got lots of ideas bubbling away, and we’ll be working on a fresh new menu for next season. We’re really excited to see where we can take Peckish next.

For now, the shutters are down on regular service — but keep your eyes peeled for our Halloween special. 🎃
