The Downs Hotel is a 12 en-suite bedroom fully licensed establishment located in the ever popular resort of Babbacombe. We have been awarded 4 Stars gold from the AA in 2022, and a coveted Rose award in 2018 (only awarded to 100 properties yearly & you can only win it once) for commitment to customer service from VisitBritain. We benefit from a spacious lounge bar and restaurant with snug area for you to enjoy a coffee after dinner whilst still enjoying the breathtaking views. We have a total of 12 en-suite rooms, 8 with balconies which enjoy fabulous unobstructed views over Babbacombe Downs stretching along the coastline to Teignmouth and out over Lyme Bay all the way to Portland Bill.

I spoke a tad early yesterday as the calm wasn’t for very long until we were once again battered with heavy rain and wind. Whilst we’re still experiencing sharp north easterly winds this was our view this morning

Ed safely made it home this morning at 5.30am after travelling through battering weather which continued throughout the morning but we have much calmer weather now.

Autumn sale at The Downs, Babbacombe! £65 per room/per night room only basis (based on up to 2 sharing) minimum 3 nights from Wednesday 23rd September until December 31st subject to availability - sea view rooms are available. Or £75 per room per night room only basis (based on up to 2 sharing ) minimum 2 nights. Allocated on first come first served basis. This is not available online - only available to phone call bookings. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other bookings and cannot be applied retrospectively to existing booking. As October approaches all beaches become dog friendly. To celebrate this we are offering free accommodation for dogs(saving £10 per dog per night).
