Meet the member - Victoria owner of Style for your Shape 👗

One of our newest Turriff Business Association members, Style for your Shape made the move from Aberdeen to Turriff in July this year.

In this week’s Meet Our Members, we’re catching up with Victoria to hear a little about her story and what you can find in store.

And there’s more to look forward to! 💃

Their rescheduled Turriff Fashion Show (thanks to Storm Boelo) is on Sunday 8th November. If you fancy a wee afternoon of fashion and inspiration, tickets are available directly from the shop or online.

Please spread the word voulanteers are getting low again and those fabby ones we have are doing more nights each week, which is appreciated to keep open but Rose and Ian are having to cover nearly every weekend. Please spread the word in your pages we dont want them to close 😰. They are currently used over 300 times each week.🥰

🧙‍♀️ Time to dress up, wee monsters! Turriff Local Charity Shop has a great selection of kids’ costumes to help create the perfect little witches, ghosts and ghouls.

🎃 Bring a little autumn magic home! Pop into Bliss Florist for lovely pumpkin decorations and seasonal touches to make your home feel frightfully fab.

👻 Too cute to spook! There’s still time to join the Halloween fun at SJA Spaces this Saturday, with a few spaces left for the 1pm session. Get in touch to grab a spot!

🕷️ And when the little monsters are tucked up… it’s time for the grown-ups! Head to The Crescent at The Kastille for a Halloween Club Night on Saturday. Get your spookiest costume ready for a chance to win a prize! 🎉

SHOW POSTPONED UNTIL 8TH NOV

I have made the tough decision to postpone today's event on safety grounds due to the increasing bad weather we are experiencing under the amber alert. I had hoped it wouldn't be as bad as forecast, but with gusts still increasing I can't risk something happening to anyone travelling to the show and that has to come first.

I have been able to secure a new date with the football club and we are going to move the event to the same time on Sun 8th November.

If you can't make the new date, you can use your £15 ticket price instore against a purchase or you can contact me at info@styleforyourshape for a refund.

Please help share this post as we had a few people purchase tickets in-person and don't have their contact details, everyone who purchased online via Ticket Tailor has received an email this morning.

If you couldn't attend today but can now attend on 8th November, we will update our ticket link so that you can purchase - we will post later with the details.

For more than 30 years, Marie has helped people of all ages learn to swim, with a particular passion for supporting people with disabilities. Her kindness, commitment and encouragement have changed lives across Aberdeenshire.

And this Saturday, he’s showcasing his pop up shop space!

James is hosting a pop-up event at SJA Spaces, giving two fellow members, Alison Gove of Alison Gove Curtain Creations , Blinds & Curtains and Joyce Ewen of Joyce’s Journeys, the opportunity to showcase their businesses in the town centre for the day.

It’s a great example of local businesses working together, creating opportunities for each other and helping more people discover what’s on their doorstep.
