Two things to share with you all.
1 A security flaw has been discovered which can allow websites to be compromised. It's a global problem. The website has been taken down to prevent this. It will be back soon.
2 Lambton Cottage is NOT for sale. The house next door, 10a Esk Valley, IS for sale so if you want to live here now's your chance!

The three cylinder bark of this beautiful locomotive passing always makes me run to the door to watch. What a magnificent machine and how lucky we are to have it pass by on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway . #60007 #4498

Hooray. The bridge at Grosmont has reopened. Normal access to the village from Egton/A171 is restored. The no 96 bus is running. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam gala is in full swing and the shops and businesses in the village would love to see you!

A very noisy 9F swiftly followed by a barn owl hunting. It's right at the far end of the field.

The crew having 'fun' on the 9F passing Esk Valley. Cat not so impressed.

Wonderful to see and hear magnificent steam locomotives passing Esk Valley after the successful propping work on Bridge 42. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway deserves a massive pat on the back for pulling this off. Hopefully the footbridge into the village will be repaired in the coming days and we can have full access to Grosmont again.
