Look out for the interpretation boards with information about the features including 13th Century carved oak Viking beam, 18th century wallpaper and stunning Victorian stained glass. After a busy day exploring the unique town, wild moors and fabulous beaches, relax and enjoy a delicious meal in our spacious restaurant or eat al fresco in the garden. 🗡️ Quick reminder! Our blind auction for the local Whitby shard sword is still ongoing!

If you haven't seen it yet, this life-size sword is currently on display right here in the café. It’s mounted inside a deep frame completely crafted from local pottery shards collected along the Whitby coast.

A few key details if you want to place a bid:
* All bids are completely anonymous. You just drop your offer into the sealed tin!

* We haven't opened the tin yet, so nobody knows what the current numbers look like—the highest bid could still be surprisingly low! You might have a genuine shot at taking this unique piece home for less than you think.

* The highest bidder will be contacted as soon as the auction closes. All money raises goes to the YHA charity.

Pop into the café, check it out in person, and throw your bid in the tin before time runs out. Good luck! 🤞✨
