🎉 WE’VE ONLY GONE & DONE IT…

Well, we’ve only gone and done it… 1,000 bookings in just 10 months, 2 months ahead of target 🎯

From starting with absolutely nothing. Not a bean in the pot, a cottage or a customer base to call our own. To surviving COVID when businesses were folding left, right and centre.

And now here we are, celebrating our BIGGEST year yet for bookings AND our largest collection of cottages.

But none of this would have been possible without you.

To every cottage owner who has put their trust in us, and every guest who’s stayed, booked or is still counting down the days until their visit, you’ve all played a part in getting us here.

❤️ Life lately…

A little treat for the boys over the weekend.

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know the boys have had a bit of a rough ride lately, especially Bailey.

The great news is they’re both doing really well, and Bailey so far is almost 7 weeks seizure free. We think it’s fair to say we’ve all been getting a bit fed up with our build up walks pounding the tarmac.

So, being a little bit naughty, we did two walks back to back and headed for the beach.

And to say it was needed all round would be an understatement 😮‍💨

A little bit of normality, some sea air and two very happy boys ❤️

🇬🇧 The Great British Grumble…

We do love a good moan, don’t we? 🤭

We shared the good news that winter parking in Robin Hood’s Bay would be FREE from 1st November.

And let’s just say the comments didn’t disappoint…

But what about motorhomes?
What about EV charging?
Why not 31st October?
And what about Bridlington?

Who knew free parking could spark so much debate 😂

But it got us thinking, we Brits really can find something to grumble about just about anywhere, can’t we? And yes, we’re all guilty of it.

So, come on, what’s the funniest, most ridiculous or wonderfully British complaint you’ve ever heard?

We have a feeling there might be some absolute crackers 😂

The higgledy-piggledy houses, cobbled alleyways and hidden nooks and crannies would have a thousand tales to tell. Tales of legends, folklore, smugglers and perhaps a ghostly encounter or two…

There’s no question that it’s one of Whitby’s biggest and most recognisable weekends of the year. You could even say it’s world famous! Yet it’s something we’ve rarely talked about here at Baytown Holiday Cottages.

🅿️ Free Autumn & Winter Parking on the Yorkshire Coast…

A little reminder! Visiting Robin Hood’s Bay during the quieter months comes with an added bonus… FREE PARKING!

From 1st November to 28th February, parking is free in Robin Hood’s Bay’s two council-run car parks:

📍 Station Car Park
📍 Bank Top Car Park

And it’s not just Robin Hood’s Bay! Seasonal free parking is also available at selected council-operated car parks across Whitby, Scarborough, Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Filey.

Autumn walks, cosy pub lunches, peaceful beaches and winter weekends away. Just another reason to explore the Yorkshire Coast outside the busy summer months, with a little more in your pocket to spend in the pub.
