A cosy country pub dining experience, with a great selection of fine wines and cask ales! There is something for everybody....
(1031)

The Fox & Roman in York invites guests to experience a taste of the countryside with our delightful array of hearty favourites and country pub classics. From our famous steak & mushroom pie to the beer-battered fish and chips, the menu offers a range of satisfying dishes. The name of the restaurant pays homage to its rich history, once known as The Fox Hotel and even housed a Roman grave discovered in 1833. With its connection to horse racing, the establishment welcomes racegoers on event days at the nearby York Racecourse. The well-stocked bar offers a selection of cask ales, fine wines and British gin, perfect for enjoying in the beautiful gardens or by the cosy log fires. Whether you're planning a large group booking, after-work drinks, a work meeting, brunch, or celebrating Christmas or Easter, The Fox and Roman is the ideal venue.
