阿姨將未開封嘅餐具欲回收
被工作人員叫拆件先👍
阿姨懵懂之際
我哋問佢不如等我哋交俾露宿者開飯用💚
The worker at the pop-up recycling collection point refused to take a bag of sealed cutlery packs, leaving the aunty confused, not understanding that she should separate the different components in the pack for recycling. We approached her and asked if she would be willing to give to the homeless.

其實可以加多兩句教下幫下真係好容易
做回收唔可能只係識得回收
定公司冇train 🤷🏼‍♀️
覺得冇時間或聽唔明嘅可能就會當垃圾掉
May be there isn’t a guideline for the staff to spread the message of REUSE or educate people to take an extra step, after all their job is just to handle the recyclables.

🤟🏻If I were in charge of training, I’d definitely be made director of the Environmental Protection Department director really quickly! 😜

清倉物資處理💚

早前清咗一個倉
將貨物轉贈到比市民大眾
可以回收及物料送工場處理
吸引幾位環保界擔當幫手
有人由西貢嚟柴灣
有人喺粉嶺嚟柴灣
盡情分享盡情減廢
感覺相當良好😆

We received encouraging response for a warehouse clear out earlier. 💪🏻💪🏻 A few like-minded individuals from near and far helped to give out client’s items to the public, to find new homes that could make use of the items. Everyone doing their part to minimise items ending up in the landfill.

捐贈方面 Donations💗
一星期之內
我哋成功將大約100箱貨品免費派發
聯絡超過40個單位以上（所以電話經常好快冇電）
接收者有NGO有學校有獨立書店有祼買店
有餐廳有咖啡店仲有我哋自己同事😜😜😜
We managed to give away roughly 100 boxes of items for free, and liaised with over 40 organisations. Beneficiaries includes NGOs, schools, independent bookstores, zero-waste shops, restaurants, cafes and even our staff members!

回收方面we recycled ♻️
超過三噸廢紙（紙皮紙盒寫字樓紙紙袋）
超過100kg金屬
（新舊包裝鐵盒金屬支架）
另外180kg塑膠
（膠袋膠盒發泡膠膠杯膠蓋）
唔少全新係印製上出錯、過季剩餘等等
- over 3 tonnes of waste paper (cardboard boxes, office paper and paper bags)
- over 100 kg of metal (old and new metal packaging boxes, metal tins and metal frames)
- over 180 kg of plastics (plastic bags, boxes, styrofoam, plastic cups and lids)
A lot of the items were brand new but were defective, out-of-season or in surplus.

雖然絕少project係唔趕🫣😅
數量多到令人面紅耳熱
但每次仍然感謝客人搵我哋介入
冇佢哋點頭以上數字全部變堆填數字
亦都冇40位受惠單位
Total 少咗接近七成垃圾（約）
While many projects are under a tight deadline and the amount of work is huge, we are still grateful that clients chose to use our service. 🙏🙏Otherwise all the figures above would have ended up in the landfill (roughly 70% less waste), and the 40 organisations wouldn’t have benefited from it. 🥹🥹

[ ♻️PASS-it-on EXPERIMENT ]

SOUSOU正進行一個有趣嘅實驗
客人嘅寫字樓級碎紙機
我哋用咗一個禮拜就出post搵主人
結果有幾個朋友有興趣
We are conducting an interesting experiment at the moment! We were given this office-grade paper shredder by a client in hope of finding a new owner. Several parties expressed interest. But it crossed our minds that not everyone has the space to accommodate a paper shredder of this size permanently. 🤔☺️於是忽發奇想
唔係人人可以容納到一部使用率唔高嘅寫字樓級碎紙機
同幾位排隊人士商討後
會輪流使用碎紙機後再傳比下一位用
並且喺記錄卡上作記錄
好似圖書館借書一樣
睇吓部機可以傳到幾耐幾遠
幫到幾多個人
So after discussing with the different parties, we have come up with the plan to let everyone take turns using the shredder, 🤟🏻🤟🏻then pass it on to another user. Inspired by library record cards, every user will mark down the period of use. Let’s see how far and wide it goes, and how many users benefits from it!😜😜

If your company/school/church etc. needs a good quality paper shredder, you are welcome to join this experiment!

SOUSOU conducted a talk to first-formers, and it’s a great opportunity to introduce new green measures to newcomers of the school.

唔再講沉悶嘅數據同政策
我哋着重講點尊重同保護生活環境
由淺至深將環保包含日常中
食飯/去街/ 旅行/ 上堂/ 買嘢
Instead of boring them with statistics and policies, our talk was aimed to teach these youngsters how to respect and protect our environment, as well as incorporating environmental-conscious habits into daily lives.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

完成講座自己心情都持續亢奮當中🤣

💚環保心理Mind-changing tips:
🖍️環保唔係興趣，冇人會講「我嘅擅長或嗜好係環保」，保護自己嘅嘢只係基本責任，毫無懸念，好多人都需要被提醒Being environmentally conscious is not a hobby, but rather a basic responsibility. It’s something you can do on your own go on to inspire others.

🖍️對於「保護環境」抗拒，可能基於唔夠了解有嘢撠住；如果覺得令你討厭，應該係向你傳達環保嘅人/單位討厭在先而唔係環保本身If you feel negatively about being environmentally conscious, perhaps it’s due to lack of understanding. Or perhaps it’s the way the message is conveyed that is the problem rather than being environmentally conscious itself.

🖍️環保係理性行為，少一件垃圾就係減一，冇其他考量。可回收就回收，可循環再用就繼續用，可以避買就避買。直接而不複雜，唔係睇天氣及心情Being environmentally friendly is quite straightforward - one piece less is less waste. Make sensible purchases, reuse when possible, and recycle as a last resort.

🖍️唔需要爭拗點先「最」環保。紙嘅用品vs膠嘅用品，了解邊樣對環境傷害比較低，唔代表另一樣必須零傷害，就唔存在對抗There is no “absolute” in going green. Try to understand the pros and cons of different materials to make sensible choices that are less harmful to the environment.

🖍️環保就如呼吸一樣簡單自然。眼瞓就瞓覺，肚餓就食嘢，一件唔再需要嘅呢拎上手，用比較環保嘅方式處理，習慣成自然Make going green part of your life, as natural as getting food and sleep. Learn how to better handle items that are no longer needed in the most environmentally-conscious way, and make it a habit
