Il Palazzo, nel cuore del centro storico di Montepulciano, è a pochi passi da Piazza Grande e affaccia da un lato sul Corso principale mentre, dall’altro, offre uno straordinario panorama della Val di Chiana, del
Lago Trasimeno e delle montagne intorno Cortona. L’idea che ha animato il lungo lavoro di restauro di questo palazzo, uno dei pochissimi esempi di appartamento settecentesco con un salone completamente dipinto ed affrescato, così come i soffitti delle camere con altezze vicine o superiori ai 6 metri, è stata il recupero della sua bellezza. Da qui la scelta di utilizzare solo materiali naturali ed il lavoro totalmente artigianale di quanti hanno collaborato al tentativo, speriamo coronato da successo, di trovare un equilibrio tra passato e presente. Palazzo Carletti ha 3 suite e 2 camere doppie tutte non fumatori ed ognuna con caratteristiche uniche ed affreschi del 17° e 18° secolo. The Palazzo Carletti Historical House is situated on the main 1st floor of an important building of mediaeval origin that was extended and transformed in the 18th century into the building that we know today. The Residence, in the heart of the historic centre of Montepulciano, is a stone's throw away from Piazza Grande and overlooks the main street on one side and stunning views over the Chiana Valley, Trasimeno Lake and the mountains around Cortona on the other. Renovation work on the residence, one of the few examples of 18th century apartments to have a reception hall that is painted and frescoed throughout and rooms with ceiling height of 6 metres or more, aimed at restoring the building to its former glory. A decision was taken to use only natural materials and the traditional workmanship of those involved in the project in what we hope was a successful attempt to find a balance between past and present. Palazzo Carletti has 3 suites and 2 double rooms (all non-smoking), each with unique features and 17th and 18th century frescoes. A large, entirely frescoed breakfast room is also at your disposal as are a selection of standard room facilities: air conditioning, satellite TV, complementary TV On Demand, complementary Pay TV, complementary minibar, ice-maker, safe, telephone (with 15 inclusive international minutes per day), internet radio and a tea and espresso maker. All rooms and suite at Palazzo Carletti are on the first floor, the "Nobile" floor. Due to the historical nature of the building, there is no lift/elevator.
