Il Plancton is a guest house characterized by its excellent location, we offer you a magnificent patio where you can relax after a long walk, sunbathe, read a book, meet other guests and share your life experience and your journey through the old city and enjoy our terrace garden. Our rooms have a vintage and characteristic style; they are quite comfortable, new mattresses, silent and independent

spaces since each room can be accessed from the patio. We are located in the neighbourhood of Prati which is one of the original twenty-two rioni of Rome, a list it joined is 1929 as Prati, Rione XXII. The Prati district is elegant and beautiful: located on the other side of the river Tiber from the historical center, it mixes residential streets and commercial ones and borders with Vatican City, which you can easily reach from here. It is a lovely neighbourhood and a great one if you want to go shopping in Rome; on the right side of Tiber the commercial street, that is, the Via Cola di Rienzo.This street runs between the Vatican or more precisely the Piazza del Risorgimento on the west and the Bridge Regina Margherita on the east. Crossing this bridge you'll find yourself before long in the Piazza del Popolo. There are Metro stops (Ottaviano and Lepanto) just a couple of blocks north. Prati is also a great area if you love architecture as there are beautiful buildings here with early XX century architecture almost unique in Rome! We are few steps from the main sites of interest in the city such as Campo di Fiori, Castel Sant' Angelo, River Tiber, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, Pantheon.

Last night, Il Plancton was part of the incredible celebration at Castel Sant’Angelo. ✨🎆

Every year, Romans and visitors gather along the banks of the Tiber to enjoy one of the city’s most magical summer traditions, where breathtaking fireworks light up the sky around this historic landmark.

Moments like these remind us that Rome is more than a destination—it’s an experience full of history, culture, and unforgettable memories.
