🐎 A LITTLE INSIDER TIP FOR OUR TAB FANS… 🐎

The team at Admirals Arms are lucky enough to have shares in a pretty special little racehorse called Tellum — yep, that’s “Mullet” backwards. 😂

She’s the syndicate horse from the legendary The Flying Mullet in Papamoa, and last Boxing Day she gave us one hell of a ride when she stormed home to win the Group 2 Hallmark Stud Eight Carat Classic (1600m) at Ellerslie against a seriously classy field.

Tellum was flying, sitting amongst the top NZ three-year-olds, before injury unfortunately put the brakes on her campaign.

After a long road back under the care of Debbie Sweeney and her team… TELLUM IS BACK! 🙌🐎

Our new menu is going down a treat, so now we’re thinking about winding the clock back and bringing back an absolute Kiwi pub classic…

The good old Shrimp Cocktail.

And NO — we’re not talking about some fancy modern interpretation with microgreens, foam and three prawns balanced on a rock. 😂

We’re talking old school.

🍤 Shrimp
🥄 Thousand Island dressing
🍋 Lemon wedge
🌿 And that completely unnecessary but absolutely essential sprig of parsley on top.

Just when you thought we couldn’t possibly find another reason to get you off the couch… we went and bought ourselves a DOUBLE-BARRELLED SLUSHY MACHINE! 😍

Yep. Two barrels. Twice the trouble 😂 and only $15 per Slushy

Think Strawberry Daiquiris, Frozen Margaritas, Piña Coladas, Frozen Passionfruit Martinis and whatever other delicious concoctions we decide to throw in there.

Basically, it’s a slushy… but for grown-ups. 😎🍹
