About Us
Greenstone Retreat is a peaceful haven on the edge of Kumara, surrounded by beaches, rivers and walking/cycling tracks. Must be happy working weekends and evenings (until 8pm latest), and occasional split shifts and on call duties. You’ll get 2.5 days off (together) mid-week. There is the opportunity to extend the role after this time subject to mutual agreement.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism
- Manage bookings and handle cash
- Along with a cleaning team, take care of daily cleaning, maintenance and retreat facilities
- Support yoga events, retreats and workshops
- Contribute to garden, kitchen and sustainability projects
- Admin support and social media content creation as required
- Take sole charge when the owner is away
What You’ll Bring
- Customer service experience
- Reliable, self-motivated and organised approach
- Ability to handle busy periods and prioritise tasks
- A genuine interest in healthy living, mindfulness or yoga (preferred)
- NZ work visa or residency, and your own car ideally, non-smoker preferred
What We Offer:
- Hourly rate + holiday pay and kiwisaver
- On-site accommodation: self-contained caravan, utility bills, wifi, laundry and garden produce included
- Free yoga classes (when space is available, which is often) and use of the yoga studio for personal practice
- A supportive team, creative opportunities and a beautiful West Coast lifestyle
If you’re looking for meaningful work in a unique setting — and enjoy combining hospitality, community and creativity — we’d love to hear from you.
