Nelson is about to get a whole lot louder 🏁

From 15–18 October, the IORK New Zealand Rental Go Kart Championships is coming to Pro Karts in Tāhunanui, bringing some of the country’s best kart racers to Nelson for four days of high-speed action.

If you’re travelling down to compete, support a driver or bring the family along for the racing, staying close to the action makes the whole weekend a little easier. After a big day at the track, you can head back, put your feet up and enjoy being just a short stroll from Tāhunanui Beach.

📍 Pro Karts, Tāhunanui
📅 15–18 October 2026
🏨 The Beachcomber Hotel is right here in Tāhunanui, making us a handy base for race weekend.

And because we know accommodation is part of the planning, we have a special discount code available for NZ Go-Kart Championship guests. 🏎️

Coming to Nelson for the championship? Send us a message or book direct and use your event discount code.

“Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great location.” ☀️

Their words, not ours. These are the kind of reviews that mean so much to us.

Some guests visit Nelson once. Others come back again and again, and over time, The Beachcomber becomes their home away from home.

We love welcoming familiar faces back, remembering a name, having a quick chat at reception and knowing that they’ve chosen to stay with us again.

A friendly welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and Tāhunanui Beach just a short stroll away. Sometimes, the simple things are what keep you coming back. 🌊

Have you stayed with us before? What keeps bringing you back to The Beachcomber? We’d love to hear from you! 💛
