Your hosts Jennie, Grant & family, look forward to meeting you. We farm beef cattle and sheep on 850 acres near Oamaru.

We farm beef cattle and a small flock of sheep, and from late August to early October we rear calves (and orphaned lambs). Our property is home to heritage breed free ranging chickens & ducks, working dogs, Tansy and Prim our house cats, pet sheep and alpaca and pigs. Enjoy the many attractions that Oamaru has to offer.

Hens making crazy choices.
She keeps insisting on laying up high. Everyday I climb the ladder to collect the egg.
Grant thinks I should let her go broody there but no, the eggs would eventually roll out.

The irony of this little splatter is that I just happened to be walking past at the wrong time. Not sure which was worse, this, or the one in the gumboot yesterday arvo, which at least was solid!
