Well… it’s official! 🏡🌳

Hewitts Homestead is now live with Harcourts, and our very first open home is this Sunday at 12 noon.

We weren’t quite finished when the photographs were taken (and, if we’re being completely truthful, we’re still finishing a few things now! 😂), but the deck is coming along, the paintbrushes have been busy, and we’re getting there.

So, if you’ve been married here, celebrated here, stayed here, followed our journey over the years… or you’ve simply always fancied having a good nosy around now is your chance!

You’re very welcome to come along this Sunday, have a wander around Hewitts Homestead and see this beautiful old girl for yourself. ❤️

It feels very strange to finally say it, but the next chapter has officially begun.

I feel like I’ve spent the last week working on this place… although, to be fair, it might actually be the last month. Or possibly my entire life.

This morning I’ve been pottering around the garden, pulling weeds and getting Hewitts Homestead ready for its next chapter.

We had about 30 Harcourts agents come through today, which is quite an experience when they all descend on your house at once! But it was really lovely seeing their reactions to this beautiful old place.

And yes… the bloody deck still isn’t finished. But look — one whole section is done! Petrol water blaster returns today, so by the end of the week, surely… surely!

Our first open home is this Sunday at noon.

And just look at that stained glass… the garden… and would you LOOK at that buxus hedge.

If nothing else, I can sell this house knowing my hedge is bloody straight. 😂

The highs and lows of getting a house ready to sell… 😂🏡

One minute the kitchen looks absolutely beautiful… five minutes later it looks like a bomb’s gone off again. 🤦‍♀️

Some rooms are finally looking lovely, things are slowly disappearing into boxes, and for brief little moments I think, “We’re actually getting there!”

And then I look outside and remember… we’ve still got that bloody deck to finish. 😂

It’s exhausting, emotional, messy and slightly chaotic — especially when you’re trying to make a house look like nobody actually lives in it while still very much living in it!

But slowly, room by room and job by job, Hewitts Homestead is getting ready for its next chapter. ❤️

And no matter what state the house is in when we wake up… at least there’s always coffee. ☕️😂

Wow what a seriously windy day!! Listen in. It always happens when the blossom comes out and this Felix Jury, magnolia flowers. I hope I have the opportunity in the future to see this tree much bigger. This could be our final spring at Hewitts Homestead. On the market next week!

A busy day!
I’m almost sure that today was our final wedding. 💍
A beautiful young couple with their whole life ahead of them. I also married the brides mother last October here at the Homestead! What’s the chances?

If only today’s weather could have been better! 🌧️☔️
They say that rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck.

In other news we also signed on the dotted line today with an agent to sell our beautiful house and garden. Another chapter begins.

I asked Ai for an image to represent this and it gave me a new Hewitts Homestead- downsized, which is exactly what we are looking for lol 😂
Now we just need to physically find it. 🤞
