A text i sent today -
Thank you for reaching out, and for caring so deeply about your friend. It really touches me that you’re looking for ways to support her and help her find some light in what sounds like a very difficult time.
I’m always happy to support people who are ready to find a different way forward — to learn how to live from a place of greater peace, self-awareness and empowerment, rather than being continually caught in fear and looking outside themselves for someone else to make everything okay.
I’ve come to realise that my work is really about awakening people to their own ability to heal, grow and create change. I work best with people who are ready to participate in that process, rather than feeling that someone else needs to fix them.
At the moment I offer day experiences rather than residential stays, and I also have social workers bringing people to me who feel they need something beyond talk therapy.
But if you feel that bringing your friend here for a little while — to sit quietly with the cows, breathe, be surrounded by nature and simply have a safe, peaceful space to be — might help her, I would be absolutely delighted to welcome you both. ❤️
I would gently guide the experience, but there doesn’t need to be any pressure to talk or explain anything. Sometimes just being somewhere peaceful, feeling accepted and connecting with something gentle and present can be the beginning of a little shift.
I’d love to help if I can. ❤️
