Connor Fox, lead climbing, 'No Nuts Big Enough' on Rift Valley Crag. If you camp here you can climb for free with your own gear or you can come as a day visitor and pay a small fee. There is also bouldering with mats to hire. the climbs are listed on 'the crag' and 'climb nz' under Waipu Caves Farm Park.

Last night, our cave concert was another great success with performers Alibi & the Wolves plus Carina & Sam de Vetter plus several young Rising Stars. These photos from my phone, but the video and images from the 5 cameras will be out next week (hopefully). Next concert is December 19th with Sunny Ray plus Nat Torkington & Jenine Abarbanel plus several Rising Stars. Book tickets on our website .

We're looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Indie Cave Concert this evening at Waipu Caves Farm Park!

We're getting ready for a special evening of live music inside our incredible Starburst Cathedral, deep underground in the Milky Way Glowworm Cave. ✨

A few reminders before you arrive:
🕕 Please check in at the office when you arrive.
🎸 Our team will guide everyone down to the cave in small groups.
🧥 The cave is approximately 11°C, so bring a warm layer!
🚻Light nibbles and refreshments at intermission
We can't wait to share a pretty special evening with you all!

Our first concert of the Summer 26/27 Cave Concert Series is happening THIS SATURDAY, 31st October, from 6pm, deep inside the incredible Starburst Cathedral at Waipu Caves Farm Park!

It's not every day you get to experience live music inside a glowworm cave, and with it falling on Halloween, it's going to be a pretty special night! 👻

We have Albi & The Wolves headlining, along with the soulful indie duo Sam and Carina de Vetter and some awesome young rising stars throughout the evening.

Following the sad passing of Albi & The Wolves band member Michael, we will also be taking time to honour and remember him as we come together for a night of music. ❤️

The waves of memories and support have really hammered home just how special our friend and bandmate was, to us and to all of you.

Thanks for the messages and the check ins. We are slowly coming to terms with our new reality and what lies ahead.

On that note, we have decided to play our show at the Waipu Caves this Saturday. It will be a tough gig, but we know he would have wanted us to follow through.

Ryan Tomov will be filling in on the bass so we sound just as we, and he, would have intended.

It won't feel the same without him.

🌸 What’s Blooming Wednesday – Kōtukutuku (Tree Fuchsia)! 🌿

Have you spotted our native Tree Fuchsia growing around Waipu Caves Farm Park? 👀

Kōtukutuku (Fuchsia excorticata) is a unique native tree with flowers that change from greenish-yellow to reddish-purple, eventually producing dark purple berries.

Did you know? Its berries are an important food source for Kererū, Tūī and New Zealand Bellbirds, helping support our native wildlife and forest regeneration.

Through predator control targeting rats and possums, we’ve seen fantastic recovery, with Kōtukutuku growing abundantly across the farm park!

It’s so rewarding to see our native bush thriving. 💚

Join us at Waipu Caves Farm Park for an evening of live music inside the incredible Starburst Cathedral, deep inside the Milky Way Glowworm Cave.

It's not every day you get to enjoy live music inside of a cave, and with Halloween falling on the same night, it's going to be a pretty special evening, with fun quirky indie folk group Albi & the Wolves bringing their own unique energy and sound to the cave as our headlining act along with soulful indie duo Sam and Carina de Vetter and young rising stars throughout the evening
