You'll find Camp Waipu Cove nestled at the southern end of the beautiful and unspoiled Bream Bay. Our Northland holiday park’s great facilities, supreme beach location and well-kept Waipu Cove accommodation create the ideal setting for a classic kiwi getaway. Camp Waipu Cove accommodation options include Kitchen Cabins, Self-Contained Cabins, Powered Campsites and Non-Powered Campsites. Spend your days swimming or surfing at Waipu Cove or at one of the beautiful nearby beaches. Take the boat out to some of Northland’s top fishing and diving spots, including the Hen and Chicken islands. Head inland and visit Waipu Caves, the Waipu Museum or take a hike or horse riding trek into the picturesque Northland native forest. The Waipu area is truly a stunning place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Our Waipu Cove camping ground has been a Northland holiday haven for generations of kiwi families, and continues to offer one of the best camping environments in New Zealand to visitors from near and far. More exciting news from Camp Waipū Cove 🤳🏽

Recently we’ve been working closely with the amazing team at Spark Business Hub Northland on an exciting upgrade that will bring significantly improved mobile coverage in and around the camp before Christmas.

What does that mean for our guests? Better phone reception, easier connectivity, and an even smoother online experience while you’re here. It will also help support improvements to our WiFi service, making it easier to stay connected when you need to 👏🏼

LOOK WHAT’S TAKING SHAPE AT CAMP WAIPU COVE!

It’s hard to believe how much has happened since our new reception building arrived on site in mid-July! 🏗️💙

Our brand-new reception building is really starting to take shape, with the deck now in place and the roof being completed this week. It’s so exciting watching it all come together.

The new linkway connecting the reception building to our current office is coming along well too. Once the new reception is complete, our existing office will become some much-needed behind-the-scenes storage, giving us more room to keep everything organised.

We’ve also added a fresh new footpath alongside the driveway, creating a safer and easier walkway for guests and pedestrians moving through the entrance. 🚶‍♀️🌿

Our new barrier arms will be installed soon, following the reshaping and resealing of the driveway. The new entrance will feature three dedicated lanes - a check-in lane, an entry lane and an exit lane - designed to create a much smoother flow of traffic through the campground. This will be a fantastic improvement, especially during our busiest times of the year when we welcome hundreds of holidaymakers and the arrival queue can stretch right out of the driveway and along the road! 🚗💨

We’re so excited to see this project progressing week by week. Again, a big thank you to A-Line for all their continued hard work bringing this all together.

We’re excited to finally share a little glimpse of what’s been happening behind the scenes… our Glamping Yurts are up! ✨

Seeing this vision come to life has been incredibly rewarding, and we couldn’t be more delighted with how they’re taking shape.

Handcrafted from redwood by local craftsman Laksar Eggleton, these yurts are modern, durable, and beautifully crafted. They’ll offer a truly unique accommodation experience, and we’re thrilled to be bringing them to Camp Waipū Cove.

There’s still plenty to do, with the deck currently under construction and parking and fencing yet to be completed.

We’ll share more photos once the interiors are fitted out, but we simply couldn’t wait any longer to show you this exciting milestone. Stay tuned on our social media for when these are ready to book!
