I have had many questions and concerns shared with me over the years about the bike trail along the Great River Road. IDOT is hosting a Public Meeting on November 9th in Alton to share the preliminary engineering plans for improvements to the trail. I urge anyone who has reached out in the past to attend and ask questions to IDOT at this meeting. There will not be a formal presentation but you will be able to ask questions. Your State Senators and Representatives in this area (Harriss, Elik, Tracy & Davidsmeyer) previously requested that IDOT prioritize the improvements needed along here.
